Throughout these pages you will see we are in the business of helping the individuals, families and communities we serve attain and sustain self-sufficiency,given everyone’s willingness to do their part, as we describe in our model of the Healthy Virginian. To do this, we work to facilitate the common good, as described in our model of the Healthy Community.

While we have historically targeted helping folks with low-income, we have found that in order to do this, we must also work to make sure the community has jobs, transportation and other infrastructure which benefits all of us. This understanding guides our work, along with the grants and other initiatives we bring into our communities.
